Last Blog!!!

 English is something really important because it's really useful, it's a need for studies and a future job. We can't be apart of learning english and it's good to have it in the study program. However the activities of each class were not really atractive and oftenly it was hard to attend to every class because it was so repetitive. Anyhow it wasn't so bad, it was helpful to keep practicing the language every week, something that makes us improve our skills.
 Blogs were good, it helps us to think in english faster and to feel more comfortable expressing an opinion. Grammar is a part of everything and it's good to be practicing constantly.
 The english program is lack of speaking activities, I think that would be good to work on it as hard as the grammar practice. Other thing that would be good is to have different classes with more ideas.
 Everyone have to learn it and it's hard because not everyone have a good level of english domination but the goal has to be that the most of the students have to learn english, and have a good grammar and a good pronunciation.
 Actually I use my english for reading and searching information, I use it for playing videogames and talking to people who speak english or speak other languages but english is the common language so it's really useful and it helps a lot to communicate with people of any country. Mostly I use my english just for reading and writing because it's hard to speak with people in english that are not native speakers.

Changes to my study program

 Through this year I have been feeling in my body and soul what college life is and there's some things that certainly can be better but I think that the money will be a wall that wont let solve some of those problems. Anyways there are some people thtat need an intensive treatment for don't be an asshole, I think that it would be the first part, the first change of my study program.
 There are some teachers that need to be more human and to don't treat their students like stupids. Besides the people who work in the University should treat people equally or try to don't spread their bad mood on every people who talk to them. I'm saying it because of the two people who work in the CIQ office that certainly need to do yoga or taichi or something like that, I mean it.
 Other thing that I would like to change is schedule of the exams and test because having a test at 6:30pm truly sucks, besides it's dangerous to go back home late.
 I think that the length of the labs and practical classes are alright because is the time that you need and sometimes it's not enough when there are lots of things to do. However, theoretical classes have to be 2 hours or 2 hours and a half maximum, because it's tiring and boring and the most part of the class is wasted because normal people can't be concentrated that long; it forces me to don't go to the classes because I learn more studying by my own, I preffer to take a book, read it, analyze it, but comfortable in the library or the outside than be suffering in classroom, using those shitty chairs that are so damn uncomfortable.
 Well, it's not too much but it could help.

Summer Plans!!!

 First of all I will go to my comfortable, small and lonely town. I will spend time with my family and friends. I'm wishing to take a walk with my friends at night, feeling the breeze, taking a beer and talking nonsenses. I want to feel safe walking on the sreet at night and I want to do what I used to do, I would like to feel comfortable and relaxed for a while.
 I will miss my girlfriend so I want to visit her here in Santiago for her birthday and probably we'll go to the Tabo beach, it would be a week probably and I'm hoping that my parents let me because they are a bit stricts. I think that it would be a really good week and obviously I'll enjoy it.
 I would like to visit my aunt and uncle in Lago Verde, walk around, take pictures of all the beautiful thing of nature. It's a good thing to be apart of the city for some days.
 Other thing that I would like to do is to go camping with my brothers like always and do whatever we want. We usually go camping to the Laja river, because it's free and that's perfect for us, playing the guitar, singing by a campfire, drinking melon with white wine.
 Hopefully it will be a good summer, shorter than others holidays but it doesn't matter, it certainly will be fun.

 This is my favourite picture actually because it was a great day with my family and this picture was taken a few days before I came to Santiago.
 February 24 of this year, my parents 25th marriage anniversary besides our birthday celebration with my twin that's actually in February 27 but it was like a mix.
 There are my parents, I love them and that day they were really happy because of everything and a quite sad because their boys were leaving home soon. However we were enjoying every moment together, messing around and having fun.


 Now I live with my older brother (the one in the left), my twin (he's next to my older brother) lives in Concepcion, my other brother (he's next to me) lives with my parents because he's studying in a city near to our town. When I can go to Laja, the small town where I come from, with my brothers we spend time together and we do some things that we enjoyed before that everyone splitted and it's overwhelming when we have to go away from home again.
 It took me a time to realize that I wasn't living with my parents anymore and it was hard, so I look to this picture with nostalgia. Everything change when those who are always supporting you are not close to you but it helps to keep going and to grow up, certainly it sucks but there's nothing that we can do haha. That's all, I love this picture!

Post-graduated studies

 It's hard to say it because there are too many options and areas of studies, but I want to keep studying after graduated. In the beginning I wanted a PHD but it's too much time, it would be like 8 years or more of studying and I think that it's crazy, I will go bananas with too many years of just books and information. So I was thinking about a master because I can doing it while I'm finishing my career and complete it in less time, and it would be useful anyways. The PHD and masters are useful for get a job and for a better salary but sometimes it doesn't change too much so it's a hard decision, it's like, I get into a decade full of stress and bad humor for just getting more money, anyways that's the point of keep studying, to be a better professional and to earn a fair salary but sometimes it's overwhelming. Besides that I don't know in what I will take the master or possibly the PHD but I like botanic and clinic pharmacy, so in the next years I will figure it out.
 I was thinking too about studying acting, it's quite useless but in this country a piece of paper that tells that you are a professional in it is important and I love acting, it's one of the things that I love so I would like to do something, maybe I wont study but I will dedicate a piece of my time in acting.
 Other thing that I would like is to learn more about dancing, it's not like studying but it's something that need to be constant and it requires a lot of time that I would like to spend on it right now but actually I can't.

My future job

My future job will be something really special, I will use my knowledge as a scientist to make potions and weird stuff. If you watched Full metal alchemist, it would be like that, not too tragic obviously. I will search for things that will open new gates and new opportunities for the all mankind, like an special agent but using magic.
I will invent new seals that can make you do incredible things and to bring help to people who need a better life. It would be like make a building with just a rock, I will draw a seal and just put my hands together and puf! a new building (wuju!).
It can be dangerous too, is like everything good, it can be use to bad things and that will be my other part of the job, to stop the bad guys with my super team of cool people who think that they're too important for this world but knowing that no one cares about it.
Anyways it would be a real cool job, just going around the world doing whatever you want and meeting new people, creating new things, enjoying and fighting against the douchebags that want to destroy the world (it is like a kid dream).
I will have partners, a base of the whole group, a lot of research and my head up high b#%*ches and I will feel it like a boss.
The best part of it is that I will be rich, god damn I really mean it, I will be rich and powerful and I will do whatever I want because I can and because that's what I imagine.

Free Topic, Wuju!

 With the time I started thinking a lot of things, in what I wanted to do with my life for example, if the choices that I was taking and I'll take are the right ones.
 It's strange, everything that you do or think has a repercussion in other one's life and mostly people open their mouth talking to you, saying that everything that you do and think can be better or that you are completely wrong. It's like a pain in the ass when you think that you are doing things right, that you are a good person or a better person and someone comes and say to you the opposite.
 Think a little about it, it's like a rage growing inside of you and you imagine yourself saying bad words to that person or whatever but you keep it inside and just keep going, I mean it, someone have to say that words that are inside in that moment and I'll stand and clap for a while.
 People have to be worried on their own bussines more than the others and if you want to say something to help to the other person is alright but don't be a douchebag please.
 I am interested in the human behavior, why they do the things that they do and why are people so lovely and kind, and other people that just make you feel sick. Besides, good people always get bad things and bad people get good things, in the meanwhile obviously. It's so unfair, that's something that I don't get and when I die and if I can talk to God, if I go to heaven I'll say some true things to the almighty. Some things like this: "Hey father, hmm you know that I love ya right?, yeah, I know you know that but I have to tell you some things that are not good my man, why you give shit to the good ones and gold to the bad ones?, what's the point here?".. something like that, wishing that don't make him get angry and kick me out of heaven.

Something that I love

 My passion is dancing, I love dancing and it's because I can do whatever I want, feel the music and just start moving. I don't dance a single style and if you ask me I say that I dance hip hop 'cause I just dance in the way I like and I don't know how to call it.
 My beggining as a dancer was for a gamble, if I could dance a k-pop choreography of a group called Exo I could win a hot dog. The choreography was Growl and it was the most manly choreoraphy of them that I could find, and that's it, I did it and then I started learning other things that I liked.
 I started learning basics steps of c-walk, popping and breakdance, and then I kept practicing and improving. My inspiration were Les Twins, two french brothers, Larry and Laurent, I saw them on youtube and I was shocked, they are amazing. So I wanted to make to the people get astonished as they both do, but dancing in my own way.
 Learning alone is something hard, specially because you don't know how to go forward, you don't know if you're doing the things correctly or whatever. However that's something that helps you to be persistent and don't give up.
 Sadly my studies don't let too much time for practicing but I keep loving it and it keeps being my passion.
 The gamble that I made was in August, 2014, before that year, before that month, I was like a piece of wood when I danced, so there's nothing impossible, you just have to want it with your heart!.

A Subject that I enjoyed!

Best holiday ever

 This is hard, I'm not good at choosing a moment in my life or something like that as the best moment or whatever but I'll try anyway, you know.. there's no options, I just have to do it because my qualifications depends on it.
2015, Summer, hot as hell, I hate that but I can live with that. In that holidays I started with a good new year party and just days after I went to here, Santiago (from Laja, Bío Bío, where I come from) for a theatre international meeting called Emtij, I participated with my companions of Polisemia's theatre company, acting a play created by our director Carlos Muñoz called "The end of the world".
My character was a nerd, a huge one, besides that guy was a real humbug but was fun to act like him, I enjoy acting a lot, specially when the guy that I have to pretend to be is a quite difficult to understand or with a cool personality or just a weirdo. The meetig was for ten days, I met cool people, other guys and girls, I spend a good time.
Then I returned to my small town with my soul bigger and happier. A week later we traveled to Punitaqui, a small town close to Ovalle, to attend to another theatre meeting, a Spanish American theatre meeting. This time I went with my companions of Crisalida's theatre company, the play that we represented was another created by our director. It was an adaptation of "The man of the piano".
It was a great experience because I saw the work of professionals, of real actors, I learned a lot, it was incredible.
The I returned at february and I spend time with my family and friends, that holiday was really productive for me, full of satisfaction and new experiences. Hopefully there will be holidays better than this one.

A city/country I would like to visit..

 I would like to visit New York City, it's a really really big city and there's a lot of things that you can do, specially for entertainment; even the story of New York is interesting and it calls my attention. The Bronx is were hip hop started and is part of New York, I like the music and the style because I dance hip hop and that's why I feel interest about this city, it's something like to be in the place where something that you love to do born. Besides hip hop as a dance started first than rap, with B-boys or the styles that are in the Old School condition, like popping, locking, c-walk,

etc.
 New York is full of variety because it's a huge city and that is something that I like, you can see a lot of new things, people living in so many ways. Street artist are everywhere and I would like to learn of them.
I think that I would like to improve my dance skills there and work too, but not forever, just for 2 years or less. Hopefully I'll visit New York someday and I want to feel the street, feel the art of so many people, it would be amazing.

My expierence..

In the beginning I thought that make a blog and publish some things and all that stuff was boring and useless, but I realized that it was a way to practice my grammar and improve a little. There was blogs that were interesting but the most of these blogs were not very pleasant, In my opinion this activities can be more useful and nice if we could write about more things like other topics of our interest. It was a good experience but it could have been better.

I feel that my writing skills improved a little, I can write down my ideas more easily at now but it's because of the practice of every week. Even that I didn't like it too much, an activity of grammar every week like these is really useful.

I would like to include topics like other activities that we could do, like dancing, painting, writing, cooking, there's a lot of other topics that could be more friendly for the students that write about things that we are not used to. 

I would like to write about dreams, it can be more that just things that we want for ourselves, it can be things that we imagine, things that we would change in this world, in our lifes, I think that it could be interesting.

This really helpful small world

Nanotechnology is an incredible tool, an awesome and useful world that can expand the opportunities of the mankind in different ways. Every advance in this area is an important step. Nanotechnology is helpful for a lot of things and one of those things is for creating new medical treatments; in consequence for a Pharmacist that's a real good thing because we will able to take all this advances in this amazing nano world and use them to make new medicines, make new dosage forms and use them for new and better medical treatments.
Nanotechnology is already being used in medical treatments and that's something really important for us because we'll need to learn how to use it, all the things that we will able to do just blow my mind. It's really important because in our career it will be completely useful and the benefits that it will bring to the humanity are amazing.
Come on. think about it, it can be a new age, there's a lot of sickness that could have a cure.

Graphene 3D print for biomedical applications calls my attention. Graphene is a material of only one layer of carbon arranged in a hexagonal way, it has extraordinary propperties like a high termical and electrical conductivity, a high resistance, big flexibility and it's transparent. I chose nanomaterials of graphene because they are really useful specially in the medical area.
In the future it will be used for cell differentiation of neuronal stem cells, it could be applied in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, for the regeneration of damaged tissues like nervous tissue, osseous tissue and muscle tissue, and it has potential application in the development of implantable biosensors.

The first time that I heard about nanotechnology was like 5 years ago or more and I haven't read too much about it because I didn't know that it will be so useful and specially relationated with my career.
Nanotechnology will have a real big impact for the humanity because there will be so many things that we need that will be done.

It will bring lots of benefits for more than the medical area, it will be a true help for the mankind. However it can be dangerous too if it's used in a bad way and that's something that the human do oftenly. Nanotechnology is completely good but we need to use it carefully.

My favourite subject.. at now

General Chemistry I is the subject that I really like and it was one of the reasons that I wanted to study pharmacy because at highschool it was my favourite subject too, but obviously it wasn't too difficult.
At classes there's nothing so amazing to remark, the theacher explains the topics and contents of the program, he answers our doubts and then we can keep studying by ourselves more easily. Maybe the subject is far away of entertainment but it's really interesting.
I feel really nerd when I'm studying chemistry because I like it, I think that it's useful specially when we are studying for being a pharmacist. There's a lot of details in this subject, small things can change a lot and that's something that I love, really small details, maybe it's because I'm quite obssesive, I like to remember those details and it's not hard for me to learn chemistry.
I like when I understand what I'm reading, what I'm studying and I understand chemistry more than the other subjects even when there are difficult things and new things.
The subject is completely theoretical and it requires a lot of personal work, you can't just go to the class and learn everything without effort, it needs practice and time.
Chemistry is interesting because we will need the most of things that we are learning while we are going through the career.

Tim Berners Lee

Sir Timothy John Berners Lee was born in London, UK, 1955. He's known as the father of the web. He graduated in physics in 1976 from the Queen's College of Oxford University. In 1978 he worked in D.G Nash Limited where he writed an operative sistem. He worked in the CERN where he started working with the hypertext for making easier to share information between investigators and where the first Web server was created.

Tim Berners Lee was the man who changed the way of sharing information, the one who maked it possible. Actually we can't imagine a world without internet and we feel it like a need, the way that we share with people, the way that we share and search information, the way that we share things about our own life, social medias, web-sites, it's all possible because of Tim Berners Lee. He started with something simple and then developing it, he maked the base of all this huge net of information.

Internet is something amazing, it has bad things obviously but is an extremely useful tool for whatever you want, if you want to cook something and you don't know how, you just search for the recipe in the internet. If you need to study and you don't have a book or any information, you just search for it in the internet. It is awesome and we never stop to think about it, we just see it like something normal, something natural but just some years ago it wasn't possible and more than that, years ago it had been thought like something impossible. At now we can find more than just words in a screen, we can find videos, pictures, music, there's all kind of things. Internet, besides of being a tool, it can be for entertainment.

We can know things that are happening in this very moment around the world, we can talk with people of other countries without being in front of them, it's just something remarkable. Without a doubt Timothy John Berners Lee is someone that maked an advance for all mankind, that's why I like him.

My Pets

I have two dogs, one of them is called Shadow because its black, when Shadow was a puppy was black, now it's really old and its hair turned white in the chest and face. I have it since sixteen years ago, so, it's a really old dog. Shadow is not too friendly, its a small dog but is quite ferocious so I've never have been too closer to it because is not too safety, in fact, it bit me when I was little; at least Shadow is a good protector of our home.

The other one is a female dog called Nala, it's a boxer, it's a lovely dog. I have it since six years ago and when it was brought to our home was really really small because it was malnourished and it almost die. However its still alive. strong and healthy, giving love to de entire family.

In my opinion, have a pet is something really good for a person, you can have a friend that will be with you until you are there for it. You can forge a realationship of mutual love that between humans is harder to get and keep.

If you are lonely, a pet can be a nice company because you can feel that there's something alive that can bring you good things.

I had a lot of pets but just my dogs are alive, the others died. When they die is horrible because you feel really bad. I remember that I had a parakeet called "pancha", another pet rescued from the death, it usually standed on my shoulder or my head, I really liked it. It died on my hands, a normal day it just stoped moving and eating, sometimes it moved its wings but just like a wasted effort and just with a few hours it died on my hands. It was sad, really sad, It changed my mood instantly. (Rest in peace pancha :'c )

I love my pets because they're like family and with the time you know how they are, the things that they like to do and how they react against some things, as we do with people.

Actually, I'm far from my home and where I'm living now there's no space to have a pet, but someday, when I'll have a job, a house, I'll have a pet or a few, I like dogs and I can't see an entire life without one, they're a warm company and they're loyal, some things that people are losing.

My twin and I. He is my friend, my brother, he is the guy wich I have shared my entire life (I'm the one in the right). This picture was made in march, 25th of march. It is important because is the first picture of us after our separation, after that I came to Santiago and he to Concepción.
I really miss him, he alway was there for me and I always was there for him but I didn't notice it until now, it's hard for me because sometimes I feel lonely.
My father taked this photo, we were spending a nice time with my family, messing around, laughing, I think that this picture will be something that I'll keep for the rest of my life.
Sometimes I think that photos are something awesome, you can save a moment, keep it and when you are too old for remember everything you'll see the picture and feel good, warm.
I think that it's important to take pictures of moments, every moment, because we can see it and know that our life wasn't wasted, know that there are moments of joy and happiness.
It is interesting, the feelings that come from a picture are unbelievable and it's something that we need because is really nice to feel a lot of things just seeing a picture.

About books and films.

Books, certainly books keep being something full of imagination and feelings, I love when I'm reading and I can't stop, when there is an involving story that can make you feel excited, anxious, worried, angry, happy or whatever. The emotions that are in a book are the hook up of it.
Actually I'm looking for the third book of a trilogy that I'm reading that's called Robin Hobb, not Robin Hood, Robin Hobb and I don't know why it's called Robing Hobb because in the book no one is called Robin Hobb but the title is not something important. The main character's name is Traspié, he's a bastard of the prince Hidalgo Vatídico, son of the king Artimañas Vatídico. Traspié is carried to the capital where he met his "family" but the person who takes care of him is one of the servants of his father called Burrich. When he was little, his grandfather the king offers him a treat, he will learn how to be a murderer, a shadow, a weapon useful for the kingdom and in return of that he will have clothes, food, a room and education; Traspié accept that treatment and in that moment he turns into a man of the king, that's the fact that makes the story go on. Traspié has special habilities and he learned really well how to kill and what was his job, but there's a lot of things that will make his life horrible, specially Regio, the younger brother of his father that wanted the throne more than nothing. Regio is the antagonist, he is the character that makes impossible the life of Traspié and destroy his family, friends, life and the fight for the truth starts between them. Well, I need the third book because the plot is really good, I recommend it.

When I was little I loved watch movies, a lot of movies, I saw Searching for Nemo like fifty times and I'm not kidding. Actually I don't watch too many movies but I like it anyways, I think that movies are something interesting because the previous work to create it is fascinating for me. I like to pay attention to the actors, on what they do and how they do and in who made a better job in his character.
Films are a way to express as books, emotions are the main ingredient, without feelings we can't enjoy a book or a movie so that's the way that we get attracted by a film. We can watch a movie and even if it has an extremely good production, if it doesn't have a good plot with strong emotions wont be a movie that can get our 100% of attention.
I don't have a favourite movie because I'm not really selective about it.

My favourite piece of technology

Without a doubt technology is a real help for the human, it makes our life easier and comfortable.
When I was seven years old we got with my family our first computer, it was a really good computer in that moment but now is just an useless computer. Computers and laptops are my favourite pieces of technology and it is because was something that I enjoyed a lot when I was little. I played a lot of videogames in the old computer and I spended a lot of time messing around with my brothers, talking about what to do in a game, planning some things that we wanted to try on the computer. I think that I really like this kind of technology because it was like a way of share with my family, it's like a common think between all of us.
Now with all the computers evolution, things are funnier and even that I'm far away of my family and friends, I can still enjoying with them. Actually I play some videogames on my laptop and I keep playing with my brothers when we have some free time. Even my mom play an online game with us, that's something rare but yes, my mother plays a videogame and she is really good on it.
I like to spend time in the computer because I enjoy it, the things that I can do are a lot and It's a way to relax. I can spend time watching videos on YouTube, watch some series on internet or anime, I can read a book that I can't pay but I can download it from the internet and save it in my computer, I can spend time in the social medias, play online games or just single player games. I think that I feel comfortable playing in the computer because I started doing that too little and is something that I really enjoy.

Actually that I'm studying, my brothers are studying or working I can't play all the time with them like a few years ago, sometimes I really miss that moments, specially now that I'm away from home.
I think that a computer is really important in my life at now because is useful, we can do a lot of things in a computer besides just waste time, it's a tool that we can use for our own benefit. On the internet are a lot of information that we can use to improve whatever we want and the computer was the bridge to get that, it's something really important I think. You can learn a lot of things if you search something correctly, if you want you can learn how to cook, how to dance, how to play an instrument but obviously there is just the information and we have to use it, we have to put our effort on what we want to get; the thing is that the computer is a tool that is really helpful, specially now that we need to study some things. As we can waste a lot of time in a computer, we can do a lot of good things with it, I think that's the reason that it is my favourite piece of technology, you can do useful things and do things that make you spend some good time, a perfect combination.

I choosed farmacy because..

When I was a child, I was a really curious kid so that helped to make me more interested about the science. However my vision of the whole area was a bit fantastic, just kid things. Through the years I was learning a lot, thinking more, being more realistic and my interest in Biochemistry woke up, although it wasn't for too much time because when I was fourteen I decided to be a Pharmacist. I don't know why but I didn't have too many option, even when I was little.

When I was applying to university all the things were clear, my only option was Pharmacy but just in two universities, Universidad de Chile and Universidad de Concepcion. My priority was U. de Chile all the time, the other university was an option but not what I really wanted.

I decided in Pharmacy because I like the things that a pharmacist can do and where a pharmacist can work, I like the mix of things that a pharmacist have to learn.

Actually my experience at university is going really well, I'm enjoying the company of new people, I'm studying a lot and I'm feeling nice, that's a big point I think.

I would like to have an investigation job, I don't know, In a lab or something like that, I'm really interested in the investigation area of Pharmacy,  but, I would like to work in the clinical area too. Perhaps I would be happy which every job I think if I feel comfortable and if I have time to spend in other activities.

A little piece of me.

Rafael Chávez, that's my name and I really like it, my parents did a good job thinking on it. I'm eighteen years old, I have three brothers, two older brothers and a twin. My parents are Gastón Chávez and Rosa Riquelme, I love them so much and actually I miss them because I am far away from my home. I came to Santiago for studying, so I had to leave my town and go out there on my own, but honestly, not completely alone because I live here in Santiago with my older brother and my aunt.

My twin, his name is Lucas and he's crazy and I miss his company. It is hard, living in different citties, because we never had been away from each other for too long, although I don't feel nothing akward or supernatural yet, all the people say that twins feel things and I'm agree but is not something to extreme, at least at the moment.

I love dancing, I learned to dance alone watching videos or just doing my own stuff. Actually I dance Newstyle that is like a mix of some urban styles but if we have to call it in a differente way, I just dance hip hop. I'm always trying to improve my skills, at now I know a little of c-walk, shuffle, popping and I mix them all. Someday I expect to be a really good dancer and I'll be a good one, it's fairly certain.

Acting is my passion, I was in a theatre company and I really enjoy to pretend, to be other people and make people enjoy it too. When the people stand up because your performance deserve it is something gratifying. I think that effort always has a reward, I'm pretty sure of that.

I studied in Liceo A-66 Héroes de la Concepción that is in my hometown Laja. I miss my friends of my highschool, I have good memories of my four years there.

Now I'm studying Farmacy in Universidad de Chile and I'm enjoying it at the moment, hopefully all the things will be going well. I'm excited of what is coming, the future is something that always make me feel anxious and motivated.
